11.25 Million Dollar Winners Give Away Money to Charity

Allen and Violet Large, living near the city of Halifax, recently acquired over 11.25 million dollars in lottery winnings. Both well beyond their 70's, Allen and Violet gave 98% of their winnings to charities and local families in need of money (the remaining 2% was saved for emergencies). Their reasoning was that, “We’re not big livers, we don’t live high, we’re country. We weren’t born with a silver spoon in our mouths.”

Now that ladies and gentlemen, is legitimate generosity. To think that after winning 11 million dollars people aren't thinking about themselves. Now there were a lot of comments on this particle issue and many people seemed to suggest that since these people were in their final years of life they had no use for the money and they really had no other option than to give it away. Are you serious? That argument has no validity at all! In fact, wouldn't it make more sense in their retirement? They could now blow all the money in the world (literally) and not have to worry about a thing! They could successfully say to God up in heaven, "God, we were born in a stable, and died in a mansion!". So that total dismisses that argument! I'm just happy these folks made the decision they made and truly made their world a better place.
